THE COUNTY OF VENTURA (AGENCY) invites prequalified Proposers to submit proposals for the VENTURA COUNTY MEDICAL CENTER HOSPITAL REPLACEMENT WING, PROJECT NO: ENT10102

DESCRIPTION OF WORK:  The proposed Ventura County Medical Center Hospital Replacement Wing is conceptually planned to replace the non-compliant buildings with a new two and three-story building of approximately 232,000 GSF, Diagnostic and Treatment (D&T) and 128 beds that will house all of the acute care services currently being performed in Buildings 305 and 306.  The steam plant operations in Building 328 will be either incorporated into the new building or moved to a separate new building.  Buildings 305, 306 and 328 will then be used for non-acute care functions.  Current concepts show the new building being built adjacent to Buildings 305, and 306 on the VCMC campus, although the exact location and dimensions vary taking into consideration environmental, circulation, traffic and additional master planning considerations. The project will require the demolition and/or renovation of existing non-compliant buildings; relocations of services and utilities housed in building 367 and the renovation of some existing buildings that may be used for non-acute care functions.
